About the project

The bakery project “Shogik” in the village of Nor Yerznka aims to address a pressing social and medical issue — the lack of accessible baked goods for people with diabetes, given that a large number of diabetics live in the village.

Currently, residents are forced to either completely give up bread or purchase unsuitable products from other locations, which complicates adherence to dietary requirements and negatively impacts health. The “Shogik” bakery will produce fresh, high-quality, and safe baked goods without added sugar, with a low glycemic index, and using whole grain, rye, buckwheat flour, and other beneficial ingredients recommended for people with diabetes.

The beneficiaries of the project are people with diabetes living in the village of Nor Yerznka, as well as other residents interested in healthy eating. The implementation of the project will ensure a constant availability of specialized products at the local level, improve the quality of life and food security in the village, create new jobs for local residents, and contribute to the development of socially oriented entrepreneurship and a sustainable local economy.
