About the project
Imagine learning a skill, investing your time and resources to produce a product, and finally having something customers want to buy, only to discover that you cannot access wider markets because you cannot afford the required product testing and certification.
This is the challenge facing many women, young people and persons with disabilities supported by Thrive Together Initiative (TTI) in Uganda.
Through our Magic Hands Initiative, TTI has empowered 540 entrepreneurs with practical skills to transform locally available materials into marketable products. Today, approximately 230 entrepreneurs have access to market opportunities through the Thrive Entrepreneurs’ Shop. They are not asking for handouts; they need an opportunity to grow businesses they have already worked hard to build.
We are raising UGX 3,000,000 to support the testing, assessment and UNBS certification process for four initial product categories: honey, pumpkin porridge, roasted groundnuts and hard corn products.
Your contribution will help cover laboratory testing, UNBS-related fees and essential quality, packaging and labelling improvements. Initially, 10 producers are expected to participate directly, while improvements to shared product presentation and compliance processes may create opportunities for additional entrepreneurs.
Your support will help bridge the gap between having a skill and accessing a market. Together, we can help local entrepreneurs build consumer trust, pursue wider market opportunities and create more sustainable livelihoods.
They have the skills. They have the products. Help them take the next step towards the market.
Support TTI’s UGX 3,000,000 campaign and help turn local enterprise into lasting opportunity.
