About the project

“Little Dairy Farmers” is an interactive, practical, and theoretical educational program designed for children aged 4 to 16 years. The main goal of the program is to introduce children to the “dairy journey,” from cow to table, teaching them the basic processes of making dairy products (matzun/yogurt, butter, cheese, cottage cheese), making this experience engaging and safe.

The project is implemented in the village of Saramedj in the Spitak region (Armenia). A special children’s dairy factory has been created here, where children are introduced to the entire chain of dairy production in a safe environment, from cow to table.

:

Importance of the Program:

  • Health Awareness. Explain the nutritional value of milk and dairy products, their role in strengthening bones and growth.
  • Scientific Concepts. Introduce chemical and physical processes (fermentation, coagulation, melting) in a simple and accessible way.
  • Work Skills. Develop fine motor skills, attention, patience, and teamwork abilities.
  • Connection to the Environment. Strengthen the connection with agriculture and the origin of food, encouraging the value of natural and local products.

Main Components and Educational Modules of the Program

The program is organized into several stages, each lasting 1-2 hours and including theoretical, practical, and game components.

Budget and Implementation Timeline

Since the “Little Dairy Farmers” program is an educational initiative, the budget will primarily be directed towards operational expenses, purchasing materials, and staff salaries. Below is an approximate budget calculation based on a medium-sized program designed for one year of implementation, covering 60-80 children (through segmented classes).
