SaveAral: uniting efforts to restore the Aral Sea
📌 SaveAral is an environmental initiative aimed at raising awareness about the ecological situation around the Aral Sea basin and restoring the Aral Sea region.
The project includes organizing charity runs, tree planting, and other activities that contribute to greening and improving the region's ecology.
🏃 Charity runs by SaveAral
Since 2019, the project has organized mass runs, attracting participants of all ages and fitness levels. The runs take place in various cities across Uzbekistan, including Tashkent, Kokand, Margilan, Shakhrikhan, and others. In 2022, over 50,000 people participated in the events.
🌱 Environmental actions and greening
As part of the project, environmental actions, including tree planting on the dried bed of the Aral Sea, are organized. These activities help restore the region's ecosystem and raise public awareness about the importance of environmental protection.
🤝 Support and partners
The project is supported by the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation, the Ministry of Sports Development, the National Olympic Committee, and regional khokimiyats. Uzbekneftegaz JSC is also actively involved in organizing events and supporting the initiative.
