Kovcheg: a volunteer group helping children in Almaty and Talgar

🎯 Mission of the project

"Kovcheg" is a volunteer group working with orphaned children and children from at-risk families. It was founded in 1996 with the goal of creating family-like conditions for children who have lost parental care. Since then, the project has continued its work in Almaty and Talgar.

👶 Individual approach

Each child receives unique attention based on their needs and desires, supporting their personal growth journey. By working with children, the project helps them develop self-confidence and the desire for a better future.

🏠 Adoption preparation

The project actively assists in finding families for adoption and prepares both children and potential adoptive parents for this important step. Over the years, many children have successfully been placed in families, which has become one of the project's main achievements.

📚 Education and employment

The project helps children receive both school and vocational education, as well as support in creating employment opportunities. This allows orphaned children to confidently look towards the future.

🌍 History and achievements

Initially, the "Kovcheg" project operated in Almaty, but later moved to Talgar, where it continued to develop and expand its activities. After over 25 years of work, "Kovcheg" has become an important part of the region’s social infrastructure, covering not only upbringing and education but also helping with employment and creating family-like conditions.

📈 Prospects

The project continues to grow, expanding its initiatives and attracting more volunteers. In the future, "Kovcheg" plans to enhance its adoption work, improve conditions for education and socialization, and develop partnerships with other charitable organizations and local authorities to create more sustainable and effective programs.
