GrantiX participated in a conference on social entrepreneurship and local impact

The GrantiX social projects manager Anastasia Moskvina participated in the conference “Social Entrepreneurship: Global Perspectives, Local Actions,” organized jointly with Azman Hashim International Business School at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
This meeting served as an important reminder of how actively social entrepreneurship is developing today in Asian countries and how similar the key challenges for social entrepreneurs remain across different regions of the world. Regardless of the country, project teams often grapple with the same questions: how to adapt solutions to the local context, how to prove the practical value of an idea, and where to find sustainable funding.
One of the main conclusions of the conference is that social impact almost always remains local, even if the product or tool itself may be digital. The social mission is tied to specific people, their needs, culture, environment, and real circumstances. Therefore, global scaling of social projects rarely works through simple model replication. More often, it requires deep adaptation to the local context.
The second important insight is that practical cases prove to be stronger than abstract ideas. Among the examples discussed, the regional ecosystem of student food stood out, which helps reduce logistics costs and make food more accessible to students. This approach demonstrates how social entrepreneurship works in practice: there is a specific problem, a clear audience, and a workable solution model.
The third common challenge is funding. Many conference participants raised the question of where social entrepreneurs can seek sustainable and transparent support beyond traditional grants. For small projects, this is especially important because without access to new resource sources, even strong initiatives may remain limited to a local circle.
This is the direction in which GrantiX is developing. The platform is being created as a tool that helps social entrepreneurs become more visible, attract funding more transparently, and build trust in their projects. For us, participating in such professional discussions is an opportunity to better understand the real needs of the social impact sector and develop solutions that can be beneficial for projects in different countries.
GrantiX thanks the conference organizers and all participants for the meaningful conversation, exchange of practices, and attention to the topic of social entrepreneurship.
