DAO funds an eco-project: IMPT and carbon credits on blockchain

Recently, IMPT, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) platform, actively supported environmental initiatives through the tokenization of carbon credits. In 2024, IMPT launched a carbon accounting strategy and continued to fund reforestation, renewable energy, and ecosystem conservation projects certified by organizations like Verra.
How it works
Users purchase items from partners (Amazon, eBay, etc.), earning IMPT points.
Points are converted into carbon credits, which are tokenized into NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain — ensuring transparency and eliminating double counting.
The DAO directs funds to proven projects, such as tree planting or solar power plants.
Why it matters
IMPT brings technology and ecology together, making emission offsets accessible to all. In 2023 alone, the platform burned 238 million tokens, reducing its carbon footprint.
We will continue to cover unique news in the DAO world and highlight cases where unprecedented environmental challenges are turning into precedents for modern technology and an informed society!
