“Blockchain Is About Fairness”

GrantiX is a platform at the intersection of Web3 and social entrepreneurship. We spoke with Anton Yanushkevich, CEO of the project, about his path into the crypto industry, why he left traditional finance, and the role GrantiX aims to play in the future global impact economy.
Why Web3: What Traditional Finance Was Missing
— Anton, why did you decide to leave traditional finance and move into Web3?
When I worked in traditional finance, two things bothered me the most: excessive bureaucracy and unfair resource distribution. The deeper I went, the clearer it became that we were trying to solve future problems using tools from the past. Web3 gave me what traditional finance couldn’t: technology-driven systems, transparency, fewer intermediaries, and the ability to build models that are genuinely fair. There was also a practical side. Crypto has always been a space where major capital flows and where capital goes, opportunities for growth follow.
Education: What Helped — and What Didn’t
— You have an international background and an MBA in blockchain. How much did that help your career?
The international aspect itself wasn’t the key factor. Studying in Germany and Switzerland was interesting, but the most valuable knowledge came later through real practice. Universities simply can’t keep up with the speed of Web3, and that’s an obvious structural limitation.
What mattered to me was the very existence of an MBA in blockchain. It was a signal that the industry had reached a level of maturity and was being taken seriously. I believe I was part of the third cohort the program was just emerging at the time.
The knowledge that truly helped me enter Web3 was self-acquired. I studied theory, made mistakes, studied again and kept moving forward.
How It All Started: Investing in Crypto Since 2014
— What was your entry point into the crypto market?
Knowledge but mostly practical, not academic. In 2014, I was driven by curiosity and the desire to explore the unknown. The idea of a decentralized future for finance and value exchange fascinated me. Of course, like many others, I also wanted to earn money. That part wasn’t always smooth but the deeper interest fully paid off.
The mistakes I made back then became investments in my future experience. They ultimately motivated me to launch an educational project.
Why I Founded an Academy — and What It Gave Me as an Entrepreneur
— How did the Academy come about?
I kept seeing people repeat the same mistakes I made when I started. Sharing experience is important, but continuing to learn yourself is just as critical. Teaching others accelerates your own learning that’s a fact.
The Academy gave me tremendous entrepreneurial experience, reliable long-term partners, and most importantly a deep understanding of what motivates people who enter Web3. Community was part of the goal, but never the goal itself. I didn’t want a “club for the sake of a club.” I wanted to build a space that united people striving toward the same direction I once chose.
The GrantiX Story: How Konstantin and I Found Each Other
— Tell us about your partnership with Konstantin. How did it begin?
Ironically, it started with an expert consultation. Konstantin came to me for Web3 advice.Over time, we began working more closely and naturally exchanging experience - each from our own domain.
He brought deep expertise in social entrepreneurship.
I brought FinTech and Web3 knowledge. At some point, the idea simply emerged on its own.
It was one of those rare moments where you can clearly see two different worlds complementing each other perfectly. I believe the idea matured in both of us long before we verbalized it. That’s how GrantiX was born.
Why Web3 and Social Impact Are a Natural Match
At first glance, blockchain and social projects seem like opposites. But once you break it down calmly, the picture changes.
Social initiatives need transparency, trust, efficiency, automation, direct connections with donors, and new ways to attract capital. Web3 was built precisely for that. When Konstantin and I connected these two domains, the architecture of the future platform practically assembled itself.
How I See GrantiX in 5, 10, and 20 Years
— Let’s talk about the future. Where do you see GrantiX in five years?
Before talking about the future, it’s important to stay grounded in the present. Every social project successfully launched on GrantiX, every person we help, already proves that the ecosystem works.
In five years, I see GrantiX as a place where hundreds of thousands of people worldwide create and support social initiatives as naturally as they use banking apps today.
— And the truly long-term horizon?
For me, success will be the day when a social project not being on GrantiX becomes as rare as a website you can’t find on Google. That’s a 10–15 year horizon. Maybe 20.
This is a natural evolution of blockchain-based impact investing with GrantiX as one of its flagships.
The future of impact is on-chain.
Financial Education as the Foundation of GrantiX
— You emphasize financial literacy. Why is it so important for the platform?
Financial and technological education equals freedom. The world is structured simply: power belongs to those who control capital and information. Our goal is to redistribute them more fairly.
Society has been ready to take responsibility for a long time. What was missing were the tools - fast, transparent, intermediary-free solutions. Blockchain provides exactly that. GrantiX doesn’t just adopt this philosophy. It’s built on it.
What Inspires Me About Social Entrepreneurs on GrantiX
— What inspires you about the people joining the platform?
Their openness to new ideas and their desire to use knowledge for the benefit of others. We all arrived in Web3 through different paths and at different times. But our values align. People from all over the world creating real change in someone’s life. That's the true source of inspiration.
Conclusion
GrantiX is growing at the intersection of technology, social innovation, and human values. We’re not waiting for the future - we’re building it.
Every project launch, every story, shows that the world is changing faster than we think and the rules of impact are evolving along with it. There’s a lot of energy here. A lot of ideas. And a genuine desire to make social initiatives transparent, accessible, and alive.
GrantiX is a place where technology works for people and people work for each other.
If you’re looking to make change through action, not words, you’ll feel at home here. And while we’ve already come a long way, the most important part is still ahead.
